In April of 2020, the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of New Brunswick will be celebrating 100 years of regulation in New Brunswick.

APEGNB has implemented a one-year initiative called The Year of the Engineer and Geoscientist to promote the engineering and geoscience professions to New Brunswick Anglophone and Francophone students.

As part of this initiative, we will have the APEGNB STEM Project Pitch Competition where students can submit a pitch video and receive a $100 grant to help fund their STEM project.

Grant winners will have a chance for additional technology prizes. They will also have a chance to present their project at the APEGNB 2020 Banquet on April 25th, 2020 in Fredericton.

Pitch Guidelines

  • Videos must be between 30 seconds to 2 minutes in length.

  • The video should describe your project and the materials you will need.

  • Strong pitches will have evidence of background research.

  • This is not a video competition but submissions should have clear video and good audio.

  • Students will be required to upload their video to YouTube and provide the link as part of their submission (students under 13 years old will need to use a Google Account of a parent, guardian, or teacher).

  • Videos must be submitted before November 30th, 2019.

  • The contest is open to all students in Anglophone and Francophone school districts across New Brunswick.
